WEAC-Fox Valley Goals for 2010/2011
Support and Serve Our Members - Continue PI 34 workshops. This would include training to write a Personal Development Plan (PDP), a session to approve goals for initial educators, a session to verify PDPs,and training to become a PDP reviewer. The committee will also investigate PDP certification for ESP members.
- Provide information regarding school funding, healthcare, retirement and professional development for all WEAC-FV members.
- Enhance communication with our new and experienced members about WEAC-FV activities and policies.

- Expand the development, promotion, and content of the Member’s Only section
- Create, develop, and maintain a Facebook page for WEAC-FV
- Encourage connections to local associations, WEAC, and NEA through website and social media

Activate Our Members - Encourage and foster member engagement for public education issues, such as the 2010 elections, health care reform and school funding.
- Encourage members’ proactive participation through cyberlobbying, writing to and/or calling elected officials.
- Encourage members' political involvement through a WEAC-FV-sponsored Legislative Breakfast.
- Encourage all members, active and retired, to influence political issues that affect public schools on local, state, and national levels.
- Involve Jennifer Garner from Government Relations in WEAC-FV plans.
Increase member participation in the NEA, WEAC, and WEAC-FV activities. - October 16 School Funding Rally in Madison.

- Promote UniServ involvement with members.
- Encourage local members to provide articles and feedback for The Propeller featuring their locals.
- Encourage each local association to send a full slate of delegates to the WEAC-FV Representative Assembly.
- Promote involvement through both personal contact and technology.
