Cindy Heegeman, Ann Mayer and Pam Cornell of the Appleton Paraprofessional Association ring bells for the Salvation Army. Members of the association volunteered their time on Saturday, December 10, 2007, to be bell ringers at 10 locations throughout Appleton. Many of the same participants volunteered in 2006, the first year the association took part in the Salvation Army project. The response was so overwhelming that the group wanted to partake in the activity again. All members who gave of their time reported the experience to be very rewarding. Because helping others is what Appleton Paraprofessional Association members do daily in their jobs, bell ringing for the Salvation Army will probably become an annual activity.
