The statutes (s118.43(6)(e)) provide that the
department shall cease payments if the school board withdraws from the
contract before the expiration of the contract.
A district may withdraw from the contract at any time.
The department will ask that any district intending to withdraw from an
achievement guarantee contract provide at least 60 days notice, and that
any district intending to end its participation after any school year
provide notice of such intent no later than June 30 of that year. Aid
will be prorated as appropriate for any district withdrawing from participation
before the end of a school year.
