aid per pupil

The statutes (s.118.43(6)(c) provide that the amount paid to a school district in any school year may not exceed an amount equal to $2,000 multiplied by the number of low income pupils enrolled in grades eligible for funding in each school in the district covered by SAGE contracts.

Aid per low income pupil has been $2,000 in each year of the SAGE program to date. The amount of aid available is anticipated to be approximately $2,000 per low income pupil during 1998-99 and subsequent years. The aid may be somewhat less than $2,000 if the actual enrollments and low income counts in the participating schools in any given year are higher than the estimates that were used for the purposes of the biennial budget development.
