Resource Page on the Great Schools Statewide Action Plan

The Great Schools Statewide Action Plan involves a set of uniform strategies for local associations. The goal of the strategies is to achieve:

  • A revised system of school funding that ensures that every child has access to an adequately funded public education.
  • A fair collective bargaining law for teachers and education support professionals.

The WEAC Representative Assembly adopted the Great Schools Statewide Action Plan in April 2004. The plan grew out of a New Business Item passed during the 2003 Representative Assembly and February 2004 meeting of local association presidents from throughout the state.

A more detailed description of the plan and the strategies being employed by participating local associations can be found on the Members Only site.
