Allen Caucutt, lecturer for the art education program at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has been named the Outstanding
Teacher Educator of the Year by the Student WEA. The award was presented in April at the Student WEA Awards Dinner.
The award is designed to recognize an outstanding and knowledgeable
educator on campus in the field of Teacher Education. In nominating Caucutt, one student wrote: “He goes above
and beyond the expected duties as an educator for both children,
and future educators. Although he is an art education senior lecturer,
he strives to touch all aspects of teaching through his heartfelt
lectures and the personal experiences he brings to the classroom
every class period.” Another student wrote: “Last year, I had the privilege
to serve on the ‘Gala Tribute to Teaching’ committee
with him. It was an honor getting to know him not only in his
classroom, but also outside. I learned that he is a strong advocate
for students.” Caucutt is a retired Maple Dale-Indian Hill teacher and longtime
president of North Shore United Educators. Posted November 21, 2005 |
