WEAC Great Schools messages are greeting fans at the WIAA state
high school tournaments this month in Madison. To support the WIAA tournaments, WEAC has purchased advertising
space on the new electronic scoreboard and light ring in the Kohl
Center. Great Schools messages are displayed during the state
high school girls' and boys' basketball tournaments. In addition,
a Great Schools banner was displayed at the Alliant Energy Center
during the state high school wrestling tournament. The Kohl Center message includes the WEAC logo and the Great
Schools message: Every kid deserves a great school. The scrolling
light ring carries the supportive messages: Great Schools have
classrooms that work; Great Schools have great teachers and staff;
and Great Schools benefit everyone. They are displayed several
times during each session of basketball. In addition, the WEAC logo appears periodically on the light
ring during the games. WEAC also is advertising during television broadcasts of the
high school basketball tournaments, and WEAC President Stan Johnson
is being interviewed once during each of the girls' and boys'
