Nea Foundation Offers Grants For Big Ideas

The NEA Foundation is seeking grant proposals from WEAC/NEA members for two grant programs. Innovation Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants are available for all subjects, including the arts, literacy, science, and technology.

All members who are practicing K-12 public school teachers, education support professionals or higher education faculty and staff at public colleges and universities are encouraged to apply. The Foundation awards grants of up to $5,000.

The Foundation accepts applications on a year-round, ongoing basis. Educators who submit proposals by September 15, 2004 will know if their grants are approved by February 15, 2005. The grants fund activities for 12 months from the award dates.
