Rhinelander Students Advance To National Tournament
A
team of students from Rhinelander High School has won the school's fourth
consecutive State Mock Trial Competition.
The State Bar of Wisconsin sponsors the annual tournament. Students participate
in mock trials that are structured like a "real" court proceeding,
giving students hands-on experience with the legal system.
Rhinelander students will advance to the national tournament, to be held
in New Orleans in May.
The mock trial program began in Wisconsin in 1984 with 85 teams. Last
year, more than 170 teams competed in the activity.
