Coalition to Stop MPS Takeover meets weekly

The Coalition to Stop MPS Takeover meets from 4:30 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday at the NAACP office, 2745 N. Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Drive, in the basement level.
The coalition, formed by the Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP and the Educators’ Network for Social Justice, includes 16 community, parent, educator and union groups opposing the proposed mayoral takeover of the Milwaukee Public Schools. The Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association is a member organization. Coalition members are working together to promote an alternative reform package built on strong working relations between community, parents and the schools.
