Leadership Academy for Character Education

The Leadership Academy for Character Education provides principals and assistant principals with the knowledge base, resources and skills to implement comprehensive character education throughout their school community. The Academy involves:
- A full year of in-depth training including 2-day kick-off, one day per month as scheduled, off-site 2-day character education conference, and summer site visits.
- A review of current character education literature and research.
- National experts present at 8 of the 12 sessions.
- Leadership skills to successfully initiate character education.
- Strategic and action planning for one’s school.
- Coaching from character education experts.
- A starter library.
- Peer networking.
The Academy starts January 13-14 and follows with one day a month. It is being held at Alverno College.
