| 507,000+ signatures, still more to go
In a month of collecting signatures, United Wisconsin reports that more than 507,000 voters have signed recall petitions - but more are needed! The grassroots group organizing the petitions has set a new signature collection goal of 720,277 (about 200,000 more than needed to prompt a recall election). And you can help: - Collect signatures - there's still work to do to get to United Wisconsin's new goal of more than 720,000 signatures. Nominate a Badger Kid for hockey, basketball
Nominate an outstanding student from your school or family to be a 2011 WEAC Badger Kid, serving as a special guest at University of Wisconsin hockey or basketball games. WEAC invites families, teachers and school staff from across the state to tell us why your student stands out in your community and your school and should be a WEAC Badger Kid. WEAC scholarship As a WEAC member, your children are eligible for one of four scholarships your union makes available to high school seniors. Scholarship winners will receive grants of $1,450 per year for four years of college or university study, if they remain eligible.
