House passes historic health care reform bill

The House of Representatives passed historic health insurance reform legislation that aims to provide insurance for an estimated 36 million Americans who are currently without basic health care coverage.

Has Google always been a verb?

In a New and Future Educators' Blog entry, Lisa Dennis explores the age gap between educators and students. "It may not seem crucial to know that college graduates of the year 2013 were born into a world that included Comedy Central and blue Jell-O, but it is important to realize that the students we teach are shaped by experiences that may be vastly different from our own," she says. Governor signs Race to the Top bill

Governor Doyle signed a bill crafted to make Wisconsin eligible for federal Race to the Top grant dollars. Legislators approved the bill after rejecting efforts stripping out the collective bargaining component and allowing student standardized test scores to be used as one factor in teacher discipline, suspension or nonrenewal of contract. School air quality bill passes Legislature

The Assembly passed the School Indoor Environmental Quality Bill, SB 41, which now heads to the governor for his consideration after the Senate version also was approved. Read more and comment
