WEAC wins three awards at editors' conference

OnWEAC In Print won the Best Newsletter Award at the 2006 State Education Editors Conference in Coconut Grove, Florida, prior to the NEA Convention.

OnWEAC Direct won Best Electronic Newsletter, and WEAC Media Relations Officer Dustin Beilke won an Award of Merit for an editorial titled, “Don’t Put the Voucher Cart Before the Accountability Horse.”

The State Education Editors is made up of editors, designers and other public relations staff from NEA state affiliates throughout the country. WEAC’s awards are in Category 4, which includes the largest NEA state affiliates.
