Green Bay Member Wins Caribbean Vacation by Using the Savers' Club

Green Bay Education Association member Paula Akin
received an unexpected gift from the OnWEAC Savers' Club in December,
just in time for her birthday. The 5th-grade teacher at Webster Elementary
School won a four-day, three-night vacation for two in the Caribbean.
Akin can choose to vacation at one of five all-inclusive Breezes Resorts,
which are located in Jamaica, the Bahamas, Curacao and Brazil. She said
she will bring her husband, David, along, and is leaning toward the
resort in Curacao because that resort will allow her to bring her two
children along for an additional cost.
The vacation package includes the resort stay, transportation from
the airport to the resort, meals and beverages, water activities, and
entertainment. It does not include airfare.
Akin, who said she has never traveled to the Caribbean, is most looking
forward to spending time in the ocean on her trip. "We'll swim,
snorkel and parasail," she said.
Between September 1 and November 30, 2004, WEAC members who logged
into the OnWEAC Savers' Club Web site were entered into a drawing for
the trip. The more times they logged in, the better their chances to
win.
Akin said she and her husband frequently use the Savers' Club, which
offers exclusive discounts to WEAC members on everything from restaurants
to retail stores to golf course fees to hotel stays. "My husband
travels a lot, so he uses the card for hotels and restaurants,"
she said. "We've saved a lot of money."
To participate, you must obtain a card from your UniServ office, log
in to the OnWEAC Members Only site
(first-time users must set up an account), and enter your Savers' Club
card number in the Savers' Club box in the upper right corner of the
Members Only Home Page. Then, browse through the thousands of savings
opportunities available in your neighborhood or nationwide. To redeem
your discount, present your Savers' Club card at the time of your purchase.
