Four Named Wisconsin Teachers of the Year
Four educators have been chosen in the Wisconsin Teacher
of the Year program as representative of the state's exemplary public
school instructional staff.
"Individuals selected for this honor are dynamic, gifted,
and creative educators who invest 100 percent of their energy, and then
some, in teaching children and preparing them for the future," said State
Superintendent John T. Benson in announcing the four Teachers of the Year.
The elementary, middle/junior high, high school, and
special services Teachers of the Year are:
- Sally J. Kelly, a third-grade teacher at Fremont Elementary School
in the Weyauwega-Fremont School District.
- Ted J. Eischeid, an eighth- and ninth-grade science teacher at Theisen
Junior High School in the Fond du Lac School District.
- Thomas J. Klubertanz of Milwaukee, a high school speech and theater
teacher at West High School in the Wauwatosa School District.
- Joni M. Peterson of Soldiers Grove, a kindergarten through 12th-grade
art teacher for the North Crawford School District.
