Menomonee Falls School District Wins Award
The Menomonee Falls Mentoring Program was one of six winners of the 2001
NEA-Saturn/UAW Partnership Award for Teacher Mentoring Programs.
NEA President Bob Chase said judges chose the Menomonee Falls program
because of its union-management partnership and outstanding mentoring
assistance for new teachers.
The presentation of the awards will take place June 30 in Los Angeles.
Two representatives from the School District of Menomonee Falls will be
invited to accept the award on behalf of the school district.
A second event will honor the winners during American Education Week
in November. Two representatives from the district will travel to Spring
Hill, Tenn., to tour the Saturn plant and share ideas about union-management
partnerships.
