Legislature Joins in Read Across America

Legislative leaders read to children at the Capitol on Read Across America day. Participating in the event were (left to right) Senate Majority Leader Chuck Chvala; Assembly Education Committee Chair Luther Olsen; Senate Education Committee Chair Richard Grobschmidt; Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen; and the Cat in the Hat, portrayed by John Stocks, WEAC government relations director. The Senate and Assembly each passed a resolution declaring March 2 Read Across America day in Wisconsin.
