Dept. of Education Releases IDEA Regulations
The long-awaited federal regulations for the Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act (IDEA) have just been released by the U.S. Department of
Education. You can find them at http://www.ideapractices.org.
Thanks to more than 6,000 public comments submitted to the department,
the new rules contain significant changes in the areas of discipline and
in the participation of regular education teachers on Individual Education
Plan (IEP) teams.
