Hillary Rodham Clinton to Appear Saturday at Janesville School
First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will appear at an education roundtable
and rally Saturday, October 17, in Janesville.
Clinton will discuss education issues at a roundtable event at Marshall
Middle School, tour the school's Career Technology Lab and participate
in a rally at the school.
Admission to the event is by ticket. Tickets are available to WEAC members
through the Rock Valley United Teachers office at 608-756-0386.
Clinton will be joined by seven female Members of Congress from out of
state.
They will campaign for 1st Congressional District candidate Lydia Spottswood
and 2nd Congressional District candidate Tammy Baldwin. Wisconsin has
never before had a woman representative in Congress.
Barbara Lawton, candidate for lieutenant governor, also will participate
in the Janesville event.
Prior to the Janesville event, Clinton will appear in Madison on behalf
of Baldwin. There, she will be joined by gubernatorial candidate Ed Garvey
and U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold, among others.
