Don Krahn Appointed WEAC Executive Director

Deputy Executive Director Don Krahn has been appointed WEAC’s new executive director.

Krahn has served in a variety of managerial positions in WEAC for 29 years. He was a biology teacher at Fort Atkinson High School from 1961 to 1968. He began working for WEAC in 1968, first as a field consultant and then director of field services.

In 1976, Krahn became the director of WEAC’s Legal Services Division. He served in that capacity until his appointment as deputy executive director this fall.

“In his 30 years at WEAC, Don Krahn has been instrumental in crafting and carrying out policies and programs that have benefited educators and public education throughout Wisconsin,” WEAC President Terry Craney said. “Don Krahn has been a driving force behind some of our most successful legal, organizing and legislative victories over the last three decades. He holds the trust and respect of leaders and members alike. ”

Krahn succeeds Charles Lentz, who announced his resignation last summer.
