'Teachers' Pet' and a teacher's pet are big contributors to Learning Foundation

Jane Olson, retired teacher and WEAC member from Green Bay, recently received a birthday present from her four cats. In honor of her birthday, the cats sent the Learning Foundation of Wisconsin a check for $500. The check was the largest member contribution the Foundation has received. Jane is pictured here with one of those benevolent felines.

Meanwhile, Beth Bauer, president and CEO of Teacher’s Pet Stores Inc., made a contribution of $5,000 to the Learning Foundation. Her contribution will be targeted to a program at Trowbridge School in Milwaukee. The program focuses on improving the science education of young girls.
