With steady growth in Advancement Placement participation and performance, Wisconsin continues to be “best in the Midwest” according to data from 2011 graduates of public high schools across the state.
The Department of Public Instruction reports that 17,280 Wisconsin graduates from the class of 2011 took an AP exam while in high school – a 3.7 percent increase from the previous graduating class. Wisconsin ranked the highest of 13 Midwest states in terms of scores in comparison to all state graduates and also beat the national average in the same category.
