WCA To Sponsor TABOR Forum

The Wisconsin Counties Association is sponsoring a teleconference forum on the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) at 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. June 9.

Rep. Frank Lasee, author of TABOR, will participate in the forum with Colorado State Rep. Brad Young, who serves as chair of Colorado's Appropriations and Joint Budget Committees. Young will address the damage caused by TABOR to his state's ability to provide quality public services to its citizens.

University of Wisconsin professor Andrew Reschovsky will also take part in the TABOR discussion. Reschovsky teaches Applied Economics and Public Affairs, and will use his expertise to provide analysis of the proposed legislation.

The forum is open to the public at the following locations:
