Wisconsin students who make a difference in their families, schools and communities will again have a special opportunity to be featured during a Badger football game, thanks to an ongoing partnership between the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) and University of Wisconsin athletics.
WEAC’s Kickoff Kids program celebrates outstanding students during UW Badger home football games. One Wisconsin student, age 8-13, will be recognized at each home game this season. Students can be nominated at
www.weac.org/kickoffkids. Students selected for the honor will receive tickets to a designated game, pre-game access to the field, retrieve the tee after the opening kickoff, and get an autographed item signed by head coach Bret Bielema.
“Our union of teachers and education support professionals is proud to sponsor WEAC Kickoff Kids because it celebrates the connection between students, parents and educators,” said Mary Bell, a teacher from Wisconsin Rapids and president of WEAC. “When we team up for high-quality schools, we build strong communities.”
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with WEAC,” said Justin Doherty, UW’s assistant athletic director for external relations. “The Kickoff Kids program is a great fit for our organizations to work on together. We look forward to hosting the many lucky recipients of this fun and unique Badger Football experience.”
WEAC invites families, teachers and education support professionals from across the state to tell us why your student stands out in your school and community. Learn more about nominating a WEAC Kickoff Kid at
