WEAC Web site wins national award

WEAC's Web site - weac.org - was the big winner this week at the State Education Editors Conference in San Diego. It not only won the Best Web Site award among the largest NEA state affiliates, it won Best of Show, meaning it was recognized as the single best entry from all categories and groups at the annual SEE Awards Banquet.
WEAC won six other awards. They are:
- WEAC's Laura DeVries was honored as the Designer of the Year.
- DeVries also won an Award of Distinction for her design of the National Board Candidates booklet.
- WEAC In Print won Best Newsletter among the largest NEA state affiliates.
- WEAC's Web site, weac.org, was named Most Improved.
- WEAC Direct won an Award of Distinction in the E-newsletter category.
- WEAC's Share Your Photos Web page won an Award of Distinction for Use of New Media.
The State Education Editors is made up of editors, writers, designers and public relations professionals from NEA state affiliates.
