Go Back

'Bring Back Wisconsin to Me'

By Bill Hurley

Now that the State Capitol has been unshackled (the metal detectors have finally been removed and all the doors opened up), I decided to take a quick walk through it at the noonhour today. I had actually forgotten that the Solidarity Sing-alongs were still going on in the Rotunda and was very pleased to see and hear dozens of people singing loudly and proudly.

I didn't have my HD Flip Cam with me, so I grabbed my Evo and recorded this dedicated - and talented - group singing 'Bring Back Wisconsin to Me'. It is just one of many songs sung today and every day in the Capitol to keep the spirit - and the fight for justice - alive. Scott Walker was quoted today as saying the protests are pretty much over, but he is very wrong, and this video helps demonstrate that. For more information about the sing-alongs, go to the Solidarity Sing-along Facebook Page.

Oh, Walker is soooo wrong! (so what else is new:) )  Wisconsinites are as 'fired up, ready to go' as ever!  We're ALL doing our 'thing' quietly (or through song) waiting for the BIG MOMENTS to come to Cast our VOTES!!!

We are Above him, and we are NOT Forgetting or giving in to pressure.  He really doesn't think we are very bright.  Of course, he is most likely comparing all of us to himself -  MISTAKE!

He is not use to using one's Brain instead of Brawn (let's bring out the National Guard and maybe send some trouble makers into the Peaceful crowd)  - so it makes sense that he can't understand how Peaceful People can be victorious -  He will find out in July, Aug. and Jan. 2012!!!!
