Wrightstown Middle School students walk for a diabetes cure

Seventh-graders from Wrightstown Middle School took part in the Juvenile Diabetes Walk for a Cure on May 18th at the Brown County Fairgrounds in Green Bay. WMS had 52 students, 4 teachers and about 20 additional family members participate with their team. The students took a very active role in the preparations for the event, designing team shirts, recruiting sponsors and selling fundraiser shoes to help raise money. Overall, the WMS team raised $1,977.60 to support the search for a cure to diabetes. Among the teachers who participated were (above) Jill Riske, Erica Bowers and Angela Flood.
