Harvey Elementary School in Kenosha, under the direction
of Principal Phil Pares, invited schools to join them in a Teddy Bear
hunt for hurricane victims. The bears were shipped via the Red Cross
for distribution to children in Florida and other areas affected by
this year's series of devastating hurricanes. The tag on the bears reads:
"A SPECIAL TEDDY BEAR HUG
TO OUR CLASSMATES IN THE SOUTH"
from the boys and girls
of Kenosha Unified School District #1,
Kenosha, Wisconsin
At John Bullen Middle School, Mrs. Tarkowskis 8th graders collected
bears to be sent to Harvey for the journey south.
