Japanese teachers who spent about three months visiting Wisconsin schools participate in a farewell event in December in Oconomowoc. The visit was part of the Japan-Wisconsin Education Connection program, which is co-sponsored by WEAC's Professional Development Academy, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Japanese Ministry of Education.

During their stay, the Japanese elementary, middle and high school teachers visited 33 schools in 16 districts statewide.

Joining the Japanese teachers are two PDA Board members – Jennifer Jones-Miller (far left in the front row) and Jim Schroeder (middle back row). They presented the teachers with gift bags that included a Great Schools T-shirt.
