In a show of solidarity, Clintonville Education Association member Ed Johnson and his father, Fred, support striking workers at Albertson Foods in Desert Palms, California. Members of United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) local 1167 had just solidly rejected management's contract offer, and were locked out of their workplaces. A few weeks after this photo was taken, Albertson workers ratified a new contract.
