Five members of the Athens Education Association and three
family members attend the February 29 University of Wisconsin-Madison
men's basketball game against Purdue. Bob Lange (left) won eight luxury
suite tickets to the game in an OnWEAC e-mail collection contest. The
tickets were donated to WEAC in appreciation for its Great Schools advertising
during UW game broadcasts. Joining Lange at the game are (left to right)
Chris Czech, a middle school math teacher; Daryl Brodziski, a driver's
education teacher and boys' basketball coach; Brad Potter, a high school
history teacher; Donley Niskanen II, a high school junior and son of
Donley Niskanen (seated in front), the choir director; Ashley Lange,
a UW-Madison student and daughter of Bob Lange; and Kyle Lange, a high
school freshman and son of Bob Lange.
After the game, which the Badgers won in a blowout, Lange,
Czech and Brodziski sent e-mails to OnWEAC.
"Just a quick note to thank you and WEAC for the
wonderful opportunity to attend the Badger game on Sunday. All eight
of us had the time of our lives," Lange wrote. "We really
enjoyed ourselves. Most felt honored to have this 'once in a lifetime'
opportunity!"
"We truly enjoyed the game and the experience,"
Brodziski wrote.
Czech wrote: "Wanted to thank you for allowing a
few of us here in Athens the chance to attend the Badger game yesterday.
It was my first Badger game, and I had a lot of fun talking and traveling
with some of my colleagues. It was a beautiful day and a great game.
Thanks again!"
