   I also want to thank you for all the work that WEAC is doing on behalf of the important participants in this issue.  The Race To The Top funds are a one- time shot at monies many schools need, but at what cost to the students with disabilities?  I am a teacher for these students and have been an advocate for many years.  I do not understand how you can compare the competencies of these teachers/students with any from the "regular" educational enviornment.  How does anyone make the decision that teachers of these students are not as great as the next teacher?  We are all highly qualified teachers just teaching in different chosen fields.  How is this going to affect meeting the qualifications for these monies?

   Thank you doing what you are doing to help Wisconsin win some of this valuable Race to the Top education funding, while protecting the interests of teachers and education support professionals. Our schools - and our children - desperately need whatever additional education funding we can get.
