Imagine being 8 to 13 years old and having the opportunity to be right down on the field as the University of Wisconsin-Madison football team plays in front of 80,000 screaming fans at Camp Randall Stadium. It's a once-in-a-lifetime event, and you can give a special young person you know the chance to experience it this year!

For the second year in a row, WEAC is sponsoring the Kickoff Kid promotion, selecting a special young person to be honored at each UW Badger football home game. The selected students will run onto the field to retrieve the tee after the opening kickoff, wave to the fans from the huge end-zone scoreboard, and meet some very special people. He or she also will receive access to the field prior to the kickoff and a football signed by head coach Bret Bielema.

We all know a young person who deserves a very special reward and recognition like this. All you have to do is go online and nominate that person. It can be a student of yours, a son or daughter, a grandson or granddaughter or just someone you know and love.

We have made it very easy for you to nominate a student. Just click here and fill out the form online. It's another way we are using weac.org and social media resources to bring members, parents and community members together in positive online activities and interactions. A team of our Public Relations staff is reviewing every nomination, and will make selections based on your nominations. (For this promotion we only post the winning nominations.) It is always a very difficult decision to select a nominated student because of the great stories you tell about these wonderful young people. Unfortunately, we can only select one Kickoff Kid per game. However, at the end of the season, WEAC will send you a Kickoff Kid T-shirt to give to your nominee. We want to make sure he or she knows you entered them and that they truly deserve special recognition.

The first two Kickoff Kids will be selected on July 30. If your student is not selected at that time, he or she will continue to remain eligible for this year's contest. We will continue to accept nominations throughout the fall football season (the last home game is November 27).

Kickoff Kids is becoming a very popular promotion because it is an opportunity for adults to pay tribute to very special young people in their lives and possibly reward them for their hard work and strong character.
