Dear LEA Members:
I just wanted to take a moment and wish you all a blessed holiday season. Enjoy your winter break, and take time for you!!
When we come back in the New Year, we will meet for our January/February inservice. Even though our membership is changing, hopefully we will have that day to make connections to friends and catch up with each other. Keep in mind that we will need to begin negotiating for the next 2 year contract in spring of 2007. Anyone that is interested in being part of negotiations, please contact me. Or, anyone interested in running for an office -be sure to make that known. Think about becoming active in your union. As more and more off campus teachers are hired by districts, our union will be changing and shrinking! Soon, Lakeland School will be their own union and all off campus people will join their districts. Keep those kinds of things in mind.
