YOU ARE NOT ALONE

You are not alone if you are excited about the newness that comes with the start of the school year – new students, new coworkers, new ideas.

You are not alone if you enjoyed having some time to relax and refresh during the summer months.

You are not alone if you have feelings of both anxiety and excitement about the challenges of the upcoming school year.

You are not alone if you know that the job you do requires more time, energy, thought, and investment each year.

You are not alone if you need the support of others to do your job in the best way possible.

You are not alone if you recognize that it takes more effort to involve parents in the school life of their children.

You are not alone if you understand the importance of the local community valuing what you do for their children.

You are not alone if you are concerned about hearing the media message that local communities are not very aware of what we do in the schools and what our successes are with our students.

You are not alone if you understand the connection between legislative decisions on funding and what you can provide for your students.

You are not alone if you are troubled by the lack of concern for schools and education by some of our legislators, as reflected in the debate over the state budget and subsequent veto actions.

As a member of this Council, you will receive support in the form of awareness of issues that affect your job.

As a member of this Council, you will receive advice and support on issues related to your existing contract as well as help in preparing to bargain a new one.

As a member of this Council, you will receive opportunities to be involved in various ways to strengthen the support for our public schools.

You are not alone – you are a member of the Kettle Moraine UniServ Council.

Welcome back!!
