Assembly gives state budget final legislative approval

The Assembly has given final legislative approval to the 2009-11 state budget. The vote was 51-46. Among the provisions are repeal of the QEO effective next Wednesday. The bill now goes to Governor Doyle for his signature. Go to www.weac.org/budget for more background.
