Make Public Schools a Priority

Stop the move to privatize our schools!

Political moves to privitatize Wisconsin public schools are in full swing, and parents, educators and communities are speaking out. Attempts to undermine local control, remove accountability and replace our state's tradition of high quality public education with profit-driven private schools moves Wisconsin in the wrong direction.

Did you know?

  • While the governor plans to cut nearly $1 billion in aid for public schools, he has promised pour $18.4 million of taxpayer money into independent charter schools - established and operated without local control or input?

  • While the governor plans to further cut public school budgets by taking away $1.68 billion in revenue, he has promised to increase taxpayer funding of private and religious schools by $22.5 million?

It just doesn't add up.
