WCTC Part-Time United Faculty- News Update #5 -July 24, 1998WCTC Board Receives Pro-Union CardsMore than 300 signed, pro-union cards were presented to the WCTC Board at their meeting on August 11. Part-time and full-time faculty and community members, many of whom attended the Workers Rights Board Hearing in June, signified their support for giving the WCTC Part-time Faculty the opportunity to vote on union representation. The Reverend Tom Yondorf, Brookfield West Unitarian Univeralist Church, presented the signed cards to the WCTC Board. He prevailed on the WCTC Board to begin working with the union movement, stop using taxpayer money to oppose the union movement, and start paying equal pay for equal work. Yondorf told the Board that the cards represented an outward sign of the concern for these issues by the people of the community and college.
