Student WEA members are WEAC members and leaders that attend both state and private colleges and universities and are studying to become educators. There are 2100 Student WEA members who are engaged in various organizing activities at their chapters that benefit their schools and Wisconsin’s K-12 public schools and communities. In addition, they attend professional conferences and engage in leadership trainings offered throughout the year.

If you have a son or daughter enrolled in a school of education or if you serve as a cooperating teacher for student teachers or practicum students, encourage them to join Student WEA. Membership entitles them to receive WEAC and NEA member benefits, these benefits include receiving NEA’s Professional Liability Insurance, professional publications, and belonging to Student WEA’s mini-resume service.
