An Educator's Influence
An educator’s influence is undoubtedly imprinted on the lives of their students. As education students, we have been taught useful things to take with us into many different aspects of the education field. But one more thing will help us become even more prepared to teach; that one thing is Student WEA.
Student WEA helps us learn more about the issues facing educators today, like revenue controls and vouchers. It will help us gain other experiences that can not be gained in the college classroom. We will work together to help schools in our communities and to understand the complex issues that are woven throughout education.
The future years pose great challenges for educators. We will be facing crucial issues that will affect both students and teachers. Becoming involved in Student WEA gives you a chance to advocate for change in your future profession.
Becoming a member brings with it benefits like insurance and teaching experience. You will have a voice and a sense of pride in being a proactive educator and one of 2000 members of the Student Wisconsin Education Association .
