The National Education Association has created a toolkit that promotes student evaluation and parent-teacher communication, eases reporting requirements and organization, and can help teachers to meet the requirements of the IDEA and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
The NEA Teacher ToolKit contains classroom management, Individual Education Plans (IEP), curriculum tools, and more. The basic kit allows teachers to enter individual student records in one database, permitting teachers to track individual student progress and to view all information pertaining to a student like behavioral incidences, attendance and other important information that might go unrecorded.
The advanced kit contains curriculum development, assessment tools, progress tools, and more. The advanced kit provides resources for teachers to align lesson plans and tests with state standards. This kit also allows teachers to generate records that provide an analysis of how students are performing based on standards, longitudinally over time, or benchmarks. The advanced kit is available for an annual subscription fee of $72.95.
