Apply for after-school grant

Posted: 11/12/2009 7:44:06 PM

The application period is open for the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) grant program in Wisconsin.

A community learning center offers academic, artistic, and cultural enrichment opportunities to students and their families when school is not in session. The CLC grants support quality programs serving students (and their families) from schools with high proportions of economically disadvantaged students.

The grants range from $50,000 to $100,000 per site, per year. The funding cycle is intended to be five years. Successful grantees have the opportunity to apply for continuation grants for five more years thereafter.

The DPI is hosting workshops on the application process. Workshop information, guidance, and application forms are available at the program website. Questions may be directed to Alison Wineberg, CLC consultant for the DPI, 608-267-3751.
