Examine ways to build a sustainable future

“Choices for a Sustainable Future” will be offered July 22-24, 2009 at UW-Milwaukee and will examine the concept of sustainability. The Global Studies Summer Institute will bring the world into the classroom and show how societies are attempting to meet their immediate needs in ways that build community and conserve the environment for future generations. Participants will explore options for sustainable future from the perspectives of various stakeholders – the scientist, the CEO, the farmer, the policymaker. Educators will find content and resources applicable across the curriculum from science to social studies. The $95 cost is non-refundable and covers all sessions, materials, meals and refreshments.
