Join Team WEAC at the 2007 Madison Race for the Cure
Co-captains Mary Bell and Sally Heideman invite you to join Team WEAC at the 10th annual Madison Race for the Cure on Saturday, June 2, at the Alliant Energy Center.
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women, but it also affects men. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes. The Komen Foundation has invested more than $630 million in breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment programs. Race for the Cure programs have been instrumental in contributing to this success.
Registration and donation information is included with the attached flyer (clicking opens a pdf file). Registration fees are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Team registration closes on May 18. The 5K run begins at 8:30 am, the 5K walk begins at 8:45 am, and the 1-mile walk begins at 9:00 am.
WEAC is proud to participate in this year’s Race for the Cure in support of our colleagues who battle this disease, in celebration of those who have beat it, and with hope that we’ll find a cure for the future.
