WEAC, the National Education Association and the Parent Teacher Association
are celebrating National PTA Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-10.
State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster encouraged Wisconsin citizens
to remember their favorite teachers during the week. "I urge you
to give that special teacher in your life a telephone call or to send
a note thanking him or her for contributing to your success or happiness,"
