Kenosha Member Wins 3 Night Stay at Caribbean Resort

Patricia Caira of Kenosha shows photos of the all-inclusive resort where she and her husband, Vincent, are spending four days in January, thanks to the OnWEAC Savers' Club. Caira became eligible for the free four-day, three-night stay simply by logging on to the Savers' Club.

You could say Patricia Caira has been on a bit of a lucky streak.

Just three years after winning a cruise from a cruise ship promotion, the Kenosha education assistant won a four-day, three-night vacation at an all-inclusive Caribbean resort, courtesy of the OnWEAC Savers' Club.

When she found out she won the vacation, "I was very excited," she said. Caira quickly contacted her cousin, who is a travel agent, selected one of the many SuperClubs resorts available through the promotion, and made airline reservations (air fare is not included in the package).

Patricia and Vincent have chosen to stay at the Breezes Resort at Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

WEAC members become eligible for great prizes simply by logging on to the Savers' Club site. Although the SuperClubs vacation was a one-time only prize, the Savers' Club selects a monthly winner for a "Get Up & Go" certificate for a three-day, two-night stay at a hotel in one of 16 cities (air fare is not included).

The OnWEAC Savers' Club is a service of OnWEAC and the OnWEAC Members Only site. It provides exclusive savings to members on everything from fast-food restaurants to retail stores to golf course fees to hotel stays.

To participate, you must obtain a card from your UniServ office, go to www.weac.org, log in to the Members Only site (first-time users must set up an account), and enter your Savers' Club card number in the Savers' Club box in the upper right corner of the Members Only Home Page.

Every time you log in, your name is entered into the "Get Up & Go" contest. The more you log in, the greater your chances of winning. The winning name is selected at random, using a computer database program.

Caira said she enjoys browsing through the offerings regularly to see what's available. She likes to print out coupons for restaurants in her area.

"It's been working very smoothly ... when I remember my password," she said.

Caira said she also likes to browse through OnWEAC and the OnWEAC Members Only site.

"They offer so much information and help me keep up with what's going on," she said.

Caira said she was aware of the special one-time Savers' Club promotion for the Caribbean resort but didn't know that her name was entered every time she logged in.

When she was informed that she won, she said her first reaction was, "What's the catch?" But after talking to WEAC's Diana Buchholz and her travel agent and "digging into it," she discovered that it was all on the up-and-up and she really did win a great prize.

"My travel agent said SuperClubs are very good," she said. The prize covers their room, food and drinks for four days and three nights, as well as resort entertainment and a variety of land and water sports.

If you're looking for a getaway, you can qualify for the "Get Up & Go" prize – a three-day, two-night stay at a hotel in one of 16 cities, including Orlando, Branson and Las Vegas – just by logging in to the Savers' Club site. One WEAC member is selected for the "Get Up & Go" prize every month.

November's "Get Up & Go" certificate winner was Lynn Keehn, of Franklin.
