On WEAC Wins Spectrum Award for Fourth Year in a Row
For the fourth year in a row, OnWEAC has won the Spectrum Award of Excellence
from the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association.
The award was presented November 11 at the annual WSPRA Conference. WSPRA
is made up of public relations professionals from schools, education institutions
and education organizations throughout the state.
Judges gave OnWEAC a perfect score in every category, which covered several
aspects of design and content.
OnWEAC was launched in May of 1996 and has experienced remarkable growth
both in the amount of information presented and in the number of people
accessing it.
In 1998, OnWEAC also won first place nationally in the Public Relations
Council of the States awards program in the category of New Electronic
Media. In addition, the PR Council awarded OnWEAC the prestigious Pacesetter
Award, which is presented to a single entry from all award categories
that exhibits exceptional innovation and creativity. The PR Council is
made up of NEA state affiliates.
