100 Teachers Win Kohl Fellowships
Following are winners of 2000 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher
Fellowships.
Each winner - and their school - receive $1,000 awards.
Recipients are chosen for their superior ability to inspire a love of
learning in their students, their ability to motivate others, and for
their leadership and service within and outside the classroom.
The program is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin Council of Religious
and Independent Schools, Cooperative Educational Service Agencies, and
the Herb Kohl Foundation.
They also sponsor Kohl Foundation Scholarships for 200 graduating high
school students. The Herb Kohl Scholarship and Fellowship programs were
estabished by U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl in 1990 and to date have awarded $3.2
million to Wisconsin students, educators and schools.
