Don Krahn Changes Roles at WEAC
For medical reasons, Don Krahn has relinquished day-to-day duties as
WEAC executive director.
He is serving out the remainder of his contract as executive director
emeritus, providing ongoing consultation to WEAC on specific issues. He
will retire at the end of August.
Terry Herndon is continuing to serve as acting executive director.
The WEAC Board of Directors will begin the search process for a new executive
director this spring, said WEAC President Terry Craney.
Krahn took over as executive director in September of 1997 following
the resignation of Charles Lentz, who is now executive director of the
Arizona Education Association.
Herndon became acting executive director last fall when Krahn took leave
for health reasons. Herndon is in the process of retiring as CEO of the
WEA Insurance Group and is former executive director of the National Education
Association
